Louis L'Amour (last name really LaMoore) wrote 89 novels and is one of the best know western writers.  He knew the west well.  He was origonally from the Dakota Territories but lived in Texas, California, Arizona, and eventually Choctaw, Oklahoma.  At one time he was a professional boxer.   His books are easy to read and very entertaining.

 Albert Einstein developed the theory of relativity and revolutionized the way we view the universe with E = mc2 squared .  Einstein developed the  world's most famous equation.  He was a German Jew that flew that came to America to escape Nazi Germany and Adolph Hitler and was instrumental in getting President Roosevelt to develop the atomic bomb that ended World War II.
