Ian Fleming is best known for his spy novels, in particular the James Bond 007 Series; however it was the James Bond movies that were the biggest hit.  James Bond is second highest grossing series in movie history.  Ian Fleming wanted James Bond to be a dull man that exciting things happened too.  Hollywood made James Bond into just the opposite, one the most exciting and glamorous heroes ever to hit the big screens.
